Before play beings, the player to the left of the dealer must play the small blind and the player to the left of them must play the big blind. Then in Omaha Poker at Everest Poker, each player is dealt 4 down cards from left to right. This starts the first round of betting, starting with the player to the left of the dealer. Each player can call, raise, or fold. After all the bets are in, 3 community cards are then dealt face up (“the flop”) for every player to play from. This begins the next round of betting. Next comes the forth card or the “turn” following by a round of betting. Finally comes the final fifth card known as the “river”. This ensues the final round of betting. After all bets are in the player with the best poker hands wins if it comes to a showdown. Sometimes the other players will fold and the winning player does not have to show his or her cards.
Omaha Poker takes a lot of practice to perfect. If you have already played holdem then you will have a no trouble picking this game up. It is a fast pace game, where the pots tend to be more juicy than holdem.
